NPBA Round 1 of Semi-Finals. Wins for Giants and Rockets- March 15, 2020
Giants - High Flyers 99-80 Rockets - Bahamas Univ. 86-59 Rockets crushed Bahamas University in the opener. Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bahamas Univ.'s 16. They outrebounded Bahamas Univ. 62-26 including a 46-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rockets players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Bahamas Univ.'s players. The former international center Livingston Munnings (-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds for the winners and international forward Danrad Knowles (208-92, college: Houston) chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Rockets' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Robert Joseph (178, college: NOC-Enid JC) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Rashad Sturrup scored 7 points and 8 rebounds.
