Minas Belo Horizonte (NBB) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old Bahamas international power forward David Nesbitt (200-95kg-91, college: St.Thomas, FL). He is the second import player in the roster as Uruguayan Luciano Parodi signed here earlier.
Corinthians. In 26 NBB games in Brazil he recorded 12.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0spg last season. Great year indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (18-19) season Nesbitt played at Flamengo where in 37 NBB games he averaged 7.4ppg and 4.0rpg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place.
Nesbitt has been also a member of Bahamas international program for some years. He has regularly played for Bahamas senior team since 2015 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2008.
Nesbitt represented Bahamas at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) five years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 6 games: 9.0ppg, 7.2rpg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 28.6%, FT: 82.4%.
Nesbitt is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in five different countries. Nesbitt has played previously professionally also in Argentina (Olimpico de La Banda), Iraq (Al Mina), Kazakhstan (Kaspiy Aktau) and Uruguay (Goes).
He attended Saint Thomas University until 2012 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
