NPBA Round 14: Bahamas Univ. beat TMT Giants in a derby game

What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: Bahamas Univ. (#3) and TMT Giants (#3). TMT Giants were smashed at home by 18 points 51-69 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Bahamas Univ. held TMT Giants to an opponent 22.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Bahamas Univ. forced 20 TMT Giants turnovers. The best player for the winners was Erquantae Edgecombe who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Theodore Grant chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Bahamas Univ.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Donovan Dean produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the hosts. Despite that victory Bahamas Univ. went down to fourth position due to points difference. TMT Giants at the other side keep the third place with five games lost. Bahamas Univ.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Rebels.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Nassau: Sand Dollar (#2) and Regulators (#3). Regulators were defeated at home 89-93 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Regulators. Van Hutchinson orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists. Rashad Ingraham contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Kemsey Sylvestre replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for Regulators. Regulators' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sand Dollar have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-1 record having five points less than leader Giants. Regulators at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. Sand Dollar's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena TMT Giants.

Zulu MM was defeated at home 78-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Johnley Noel had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Judino Wilson responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Rebels maintains fourth position with 2-6 record. Loser Zulu MM still closes the standings with eight games lost. Rebels' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Bahamas Univ..

In the last game of round 14 Regulators defeated Tucker Boys in Nassau 89-72.

Johnley Noel had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Theo Ferguson chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Judino Wilson responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Stephan Burrows (186-1992, college: Lee) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Rebels and four Zulu MM players scored in double figures. Rebels maintains fourth position with 2-6 record. Loser Zulu MM still closes the standings with eight games lost. Tucker Boys - Regulators 72-89

There was no surprise in Nassau where 5th ranked Tucker Boys (1-8) were defeated by third ranked Regulators (5-4) 89-72 on Monday. Kemsey Sylvestre had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian guard Zachary Pennerman (, college: Mount Allison) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Regulators players scored in double figures. Leon Bain responded with 24 points and Randon Swaby produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. Regulators maintains third position with 5-4 record having four points less than leader Giants. Tucker Boys lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
