Michael Bain claims Bahamas NPBA Hoops Agents weekly honour- March 1, 2023
The 37-year old shooting guard had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and nine assists for Giants in his team's victory, helping them to outclass TMT Giants (#4, 4-6) with 38-point margin 106-68. It allowed Giants to jump to the first place in the Bahamas NPBA. Giants have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Bain had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Giants, through which he has constantly improved. Bain has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 14.0ppg), assists (4th best: 6.7apg) and averages solid 2.6spg and 63.6% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Erquantae Edgecombe of Bahamas Univ.. Edgecombe impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Bahamas Univ. cruised to a 68-58 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Sand Dollar (#2, 8-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Vince Ferguson Division. Bahamas Univ. consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Edgecombe is a newcomer at Bahamas Univ. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. The third best performed player last round was Bertrum Minns of top-ranked Rockets. Minns scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Rockets, leading his team to a 108-64 easy win against #3 ranked Regulators. Rockets have amazing season winning all 11 games without a single defeat in Vince Ferguson Division. Minns turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Minns has a very solid season.
