NPBA Round 19: Zulu MM is defeated by TMT Giants in a derby game

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: TMT Giants (#4) and Zulu MM (#5). Zulu MM was crushed at home by 47 points 71-118 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. TMT Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Zulu MM's 24. They outrebounded Zulu MM 70-24 including a 29-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. TMT Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Randy Miller who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 29 rebounds. Daniel Hall helped adding 26 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Selwyn Mckenzie responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. TMT Giants maintains fourth place with 5-7 record. Zulu MM at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Nassau: Tucker Boys (#5) and Rebels (#4). Rebels were defeated at home 84-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was an exceptional evening for Leon Bain who led the winners and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Jaden Stubbs accounted for 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Deniro Kemp came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds for Rebels in the defeat. Tucker Boys maintains fifth place with 3-9 record. Rebels lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 11 games lost.
Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Nassau: Giants (#1) and Shockers (#2). Giants (10-2) crushed visiting Shockers (8-6) by 34 points 92-58. Adam Johnson fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Spurgeon Johnson produced 21 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Giants have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-2 record. Loser Shockers keep the second position with six games lost.

In the last game of round 19 Bahamas Univ. lost to Regulators on the opponent's court 63-76.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 8 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by Darius Adams of Regulators.

Rebels - Tucker Boys 84-89

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Nassau: Tucker Boys (#5) and Rebels (#4). Rebels were defeated at home 84-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Tucker Boys had a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Leon Bain who led the winners and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Jaden Stubbs accounted for 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Deniro Kemp came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Johnley Noel added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Rebels in the defeat. Giants - Shockers 92-58

Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Nassau: Giants (#1) and Shockers (#2). Giants (10-2) crushed visiting Shockers (8-6) by 34 points 92-58. Giants held Shockers to an opponent 24.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Giants forced 23 Shockers turnovers and had a 41-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Giants made 9 blocks. Adam Johnson fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winners. The former international Michael Bain (185-1985) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Guard Spurgeon Johnson produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and William Rigby added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Giants have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-2 record. Loser Shockers keep the second position with six games lost.

Regulators - Bahamas Univ. 76-63

There was a minor upset in Nassau where their close opponent Bahamas Univ. (6-7) was defeated by third ranked Regulators (7-5) 76-63 on Saturday. Regulators forced 23 Bahamas Univ. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Kemsey Sylvestre fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Canadian guard Zachary Pennerman (, college: Mount Allison) chipped in 24 points and 6 assists. Erquantae Edgecombe produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Justin Burrows added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bahamas Univ.'s coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Regulators maintains third place with 7-5 record having seven points less than leader Giants which they share with defeated Bahamas Univ. Loser Bahamas Univ. keeps the third position with seven games lost.
