Shockers - Rockets 80-97

Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Shockers' 40. They outrebounded Shockers 59-41 including a 24-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Rockets players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. The former international forward Livingston Munnings (201-1992) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Roosevelt Whylly contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Rockets' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. William Rigby replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Shakwon Lewis (178-1996, college: Butte CC) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Shockers. Four Shockers players scored in double figures.

Giants forced 21 Sand Dollar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Jackson Jacob (186, college: NAIT) who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Swingman Dylan Musgrove (190, college: Southeastern) chipped in 23 points. Giants' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rus-shorn Strachan produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and guard Van Hutchinson (193) added 14 points and 16 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Giants and five Sand Dollar players scored in double figures.
