Dewa United Surabaya (IBL) has signed Tavario Miller, a 29-year-old forward from the Bahamas. Miller, who stands at 203cm tall and played college basketball at Texas A&M, recently played for Halc.Rojos in the Mexican LNBP. In his 28 games, he averaged an impressive 16.2 points per game, 9.3 rpg, and 1.2 apg. He was also named the League Player of the Week. In the previous season, Miller played for Shizuoka Veltex in the Japanese B3 League.
He's also been a member of the Bahamas international program for several years. He's played for the Bahamas senior team since 2015 and previously for the Under 17 National Team in 2011.
He also represented the Bahamas at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers this year. His statistics at that event were as follows: 2 games played, averaging 13.0 points per game, 7.0 rpg, and 1.0 steal per game (spg).
He has played professionally in Argentina (Boca and Quimsa), Brazil (Minas), Japan, Spain (Grupo Eleyco Baskonia B team), Uruguay (Union Atletica Montevideo), and Norway (Fyllingen). He is a highly experienced player who has had the opportunity to experience life in seven different countries and play on four different continents, including Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America.
Among the many awards he won, he secured the Basketball's League Americas championship title in 2020. Additionally, he was selected to the Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Imports Team in 2022.
He had previously attended one of the camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to professional basketball.
He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2017, and this will be his eighth season in professional basketball.
