NPBA Round 7 (Regular Season): Sunlight CS beat Shockers by one after a very close game

The most exciting game of round 7 in the NPBA took place in . This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Shockers (0-4) to fourth ranked Sunlight CS (2-2) 79-78 on Wednesday evening. Sunlight CS outrebounded Shockers 61-46 including 21 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Kendrick Humes who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. Johnley Noel contributed with 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Dario Mckenzie answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Shockers. Sunlight CS moved-up to third place, which they share with Regulators. Shockers at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Tucker Boys (#6) and Regulators (#3). Tucker Boys (1-1) won against visiting Regulators (2-2) 76-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Regulators. It was a great evening for Kieran Mortimer who led his team to a victory scoring 6 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Clayton Tucker helped adding 19 points. At the losing side American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tucker Boys left bottom position moving up to fourth place. Regulators at the other side keep the third position with two games lost. They share it with Sunlight CS.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Nassau: TMT Giants (#2) and Bahamas Univ. (#3). Bahamas Univ. was defeated at home 62-69 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was an exceptional evening for Adrian Thompson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds. Delano Armbrister came up with 23 points for Bahamas Univ. in the defeat. TMT Giants maintains second place with 3-1 record behind leader Giants. Loser Bahamas Univ. dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.





Tucker Boys - Regulators 76-71

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Tucker Boys (#6) and Regulators (#3). Tucker Boys (1-1) won against visiting Regulators (2-2) 76-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Regulators. It was a great evening for Kieran Mortimer who led his team to a victory scoring 6 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Clayton Tucker helped adding 19 points. At the losing side American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Alexander Rolle (-1993) scored 9 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Regulators players scored in double figures. Tucker Boys left bottom position moving up to fourth place. Regulators at the other side keep the third position with two games lost. They share it with Sunlight CS.

TMT Giants forced 23 Bahamas Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 60-47 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for forward Adrian Thompson (193) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds. Dashaun Saunders accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Delano Armbrister came up with 23 points and Timothy Grant added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Bahamas Univ. in the defeat. TMT Giants maintains second place with 3-1 record behind leader Giants. Loser Bahamas Univ. dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
