NPBA Round 11 (Regular Season): Tucker Boys are defeated by Bahamas Univ. in a derby game

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: Bahamas Univ. (#3) and Tucker Boys (#5). Tucker Boys were defeated at home 72-84 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Bahamas Univ. forced 33 Tucker Boys turnovers. It was a great evening for Glenderson Black who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Gregory Cox helped adding 11 points and 5 assists. Leon Bain responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bahamas Univ. maintains third place with 4-5 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Giants. Tucker Boys at the other side keep the fifth position with three games lost.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Nassau: Regulators (#3) and TMT Giants (#2). Regulators (3-3) won against visiting TMT Giants (5-3) 69-59. It was an exceptional evening for Alexander Rolle (-1993) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Zachary Pennerman accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds. Regulators' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ujamaa Johnson came up with 6 points and 9 rebounds for TMT Giants in the defeat. Regulators maintains third place with 3-3 record having four points less than leader Giants. TMT Giants at the other side keep the second position with three games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in . 4th placed host Island DR (2-5) was smashed by first ranked Rockets (6-1) 95-69. The best player for the winners was Livingston Munnings who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Toureque Cartwright produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Rockets have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Loser Island DR keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Zulu MM and Sunlight CS.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 11: Brandon DK was destroyed by TMT Giants on the opponent's court 110-76. Sand Dollar outscored Sunlight CS in a home game 86-63. Giants rolled over Sunlight CS on the road 110-62.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds by Dylan Musgrove of Giants.



TMT Giants - Brandon DK 110-76

Very expected game in Nassau where 6th ranked Brandon DK (1-5) was crushed by second ranked TMT Giants (5-3) 110-76 on Saturday. TMT Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Brandon DK's 48. TMT Giants forced 19 Brandon DK turnovers and outrebounded them 61-37 including a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. TMT Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Adrian Thompson (193) who had a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists and 7 steals. Donovan Dean chipped in 28 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Kevin Wright (178, college: Bevill St.Sumit.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and Dennis Turnquest added 20 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TMT Giants maintains second place with 5-3 record behind leader Giants. Brandon DK lost fourth consecutive game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Van Hutchinson (193) who had a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists. Jeremy Neely chipped in 19 points. Sand Dollar's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Camron Strachan produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and Michael Turnquest added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Sunlight CS players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Sand Dollar. They maintain second place with 5-0 record behind leader Giants. Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sunlight CS's players.
