Van Hutchinson's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Bahamas Van Hutchinson (193-G) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Sand Dollar and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The guard recorded a triple-double of 13 points adding also 17 rebounds and 17 assists, while his team crushed Shockers (#5, 3-8) with 23-point margin 97-74. It allowed Sand Dollar to jump to the first place in the Bahamas NPBA. Sand Dollar has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. In the team's last game Hutchinson had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Sand Dollar and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Hutchinson has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 16.2rpg) and averages solid 2.9spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Camron Strachan of Sunlight Cottage Stampers. Strachan impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 27 rebounds. Bad luck as Sunlight CS lost that game 69-74 to the higher-ranked Tucker Boys (#3, 5-7). Sunlight CS managed to keep the same 6th spot in Derrick Bats Ferguson. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Sunlight CS managed to get this year. Strachan is a newcomer at Sunlight CS and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Sand Dollar's star - Jeremy Neely. Neely showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Sand Dollar, helping his team with a 78-47 easy win against #4 ranked Regulators in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Sand Dollar as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 12 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings in Michael Boshang Cooper. Neely has a great season in Bahamas. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.2apg (9th best).
