Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Zulu MM's 34. They outrebounded Zulu MM 59-31 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Roosevelt Whylly had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Jonathan McFall (196-1999, college: Slippery Rock) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. McFall is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. Forward Jonaldo Joseph (198, college: RWU) responded with 30 points and 6 rebounds and Uriah Rolle scored 14 points and 6 rebounds.

Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Regulators' 32. Giants forced 31 Regulators turnovers and outrebounded them 58-26 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Regulators' players. The best player for the winners was swingman Dylan Musgrove (190, college: Southeastern) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 8 steals. The former international guard Jackson Jacob (186, college: NAIT) chipped in 27 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Giants' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian guard Zachary Pennerman (, college: Mount Allison) produced 23 points and Alexander Rolle (-1993) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts.
