NPBA Round 7 (Regular Season): Tucker Boys lose to Bamboo SE

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Tucker Boys (2-1) recorded its first loss on the court of third ranked Bamboo SE on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Bamboo SE 100-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tucker Boys. Bamboo SE dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Tucker Boys' 40. Rameno King fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Guard David Taylor chipped in 16 points. Bamboo SE's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Clayton Tucker produced 31 points for lost side. Bamboo SE have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Tucker Boys at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. They share it with Island DR. Bamboo SE are looking forward to face Mekaddish M. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tucker Boys will have a break next round.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Giants (#4) and Shockers (#7). Giants (3-1) crushed visiting Shockers (1-2) by 16 points 101-85. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Dylan Musgrove (190, college: Southeastern) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Jackson Jacob contributed with 26 points for the winners. William Rigby answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for Shockers. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Giants have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 3-1 record. Shockers at the other side keep the seventh position with two games lost. Giants will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shockers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Rockets.

Rockets - Stampers 76-67

Undefeated leader Rockets delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Monday night. This time they beat bottom-ranked Stampers (0-3) 76-67 in Nassau. Rockets outrebounded Stampers 60-41 including 25 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Roosevelt Whylly who led his team to a victory scoring 8 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Abel Joseph (200-1990, college: Holland) helped adding 5 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Rockets' coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Kendrick Humes responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Camron Strachan scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. Rockets have a solid series of four victories in a row. Zulu MM - Bamboo SE 71-73

There was no surprise in Nassau where bottom-ranked Zulu MM (0-2) was edged by third ranked Bamboo SE (4-1) 73-71 on Wednesday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bamboo SE made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for guard David Taylor who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 7 assists. Guard Mikhail Rolle (190-1994, college: St.Thomas, FL) helped adding 21 points. Rolle is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Trevez Hamilton responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds and Bertrum Minns scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Zulu MM players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bamboo SE have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Zulu MM still closes the standings with two games lost. Bamboo SE will meet Mekaddish M. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zulu MM will have a break next round.
