NPBA Round 10 (Regular Season): Shockers beat Sand Dollar in a derby game

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: Shockers (#5) and Sand Dollar (#4). Shockers (5-3) smashed visiting Sand Dollar (5-2) by 34 points 87-53. Shockers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 5-3 record, which they share with Zulu MM. Sand Dollar at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost.

Tucker Boys were defeated at home 63-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Sand Dollar maintains fourth position with 5-2 record. Tucker Boys at the other side dropped to the seventh place with four games lost.
Bottom-ranked Mekaddish M. (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 101-80 loss to sixth ranked Zulu MM (5-3) in on Monday evening. Zulu MM have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shockers. Newly promoted Mekaddish M. still closes the standings with eight games lost.

Rest of the games of round 10 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
TMT Giants crushed Tucker Boys in Nassau 101-51. Island DR was smashed by Tucker Boys at home 50-72. TMT Giants lost to Shockers on the opponent's court 55-64. Zulu MM managed to outperform Island DR in a home game 69-60. Winless Mekaddish M. was rolled over Shockers on the road 80-55. Zulu MM crushed Stampers on its own court 72-52.
The best stats of 10th round was 19 points and 10 rebounds by William Rigby of Shockers.



Tucker Boys - TMT Giants 51-101

There was a minor upset in Nassau where 6th ranked Tucker Boys (4-4) were crushed by ninth ranked TMT Giants (2-5) 101-51 on Saturday. TMT Giants moved-up to eighth place. Loser Tucker Boys dropped to the seventh position with four games lost.

Despite that victory Tucker Boys went down to seventh position due to points difference. Island DR lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost.

Shockers - TMT Giants 64-55

Very expected game in Nassau where 9th ranked TMT Giants (2-5) were defeated by fifth ranked Shockers (5-3) 64-55 on Wednesday. Shockers forced 27 TMT Giants turnovers. William Rigby had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Malieck Johnson chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Christopher Johnson (190-2000, college: CCBC Catonsv.) responded with 2 points and 13 rebounds and Ujamaa Johnson scored 5 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shockers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 5-3 record, which they share with Zulu MM. TMT Giants lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with five games lost.
