Guard Van Hutchinson (193) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Adrian Thompson (193) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Livingston Munnings (201-1992) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Roosevelt Whylly added 25 points in the effort for Rockets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
