Barbados rout Trinidad & Tobago for fifth place

Barbados finishes fifth in the 2016 edition of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) female under-16 championship after a 68-40 victory against Trinidad and Tobago on Friday afternoon at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown, Guyana. The Bajans used a strong second half to really clamp down on the Trinidadians after they trailed 21-20 at the end of the first half to pull off the comfortable 28-point win. Nevertheless, Tower Lorde was once again a beast in the low post for Barbados dropping 26 points, all at point blank range while picking up 16 rebounds. Megan Rampersad once again was the lone force for Trinidad scoring 24 of Trinidad's 40 points while grabbing 13 rebounds as Trinidad and Tobago will finish sixth.
