Lakers and Pinelands made steps closer to the BABA Finals. They celebrated victories in the respective semifinal series.
Lakers upset Sonics 77:73 in the opener. Jamal Singh came up with 23 points to pace the winners. Lakers used a 28:13 run in the second term to take a 41:27 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 19-point mark at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the win. Chiamaka Browne and Keefe Birkett (183-G-88) tossed in 13 points each for the winners. Akeem Marsh (206-F/C-87) responded with 28 points for Sonics.
Pinelands rolled past Cavaliers 96:90 in Game 1. Cavaliers unleashed 37 points in the second frame to build a 54:44 halftime advantage. But Pinelands picked up the tempo in the second half. They unloaded 52 points after the big break and marched to the win. Derion Hurley accounted for 30 points, while Jeremy Gill (183-G-81) contributed 20 points and 9 boards in the victory. Joel Hunte answered with 17 points and 8 caroms in the loss.

AKEEM MARSH Experienced Former international Power forward Akeem Marsh (208-F/C-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Bulls and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 17.
