BABA Round 16: Pinelands defeat Lakers in the game between Top 4 teams

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Pinelands (10-1) which played road game in against 4th ranked Lakers (6-5). First ranked Pinelands had an easy win 102-67. Pinelands outrebounded Lakers 53-28 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Lakers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Deveron Knight who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Deroni Hurley (-2001) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Pinelands' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Justin Bramao replied with 20 points for Lakers. Pinelands have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record. Lakers at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Cavaliers (9-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Tridents (2-10). Cavaliers smashed Tridents 95-64. Worth to mention a great performance of Gavin Phillips who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds and Joel Hunte who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Antoine Winter responded with 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cavaliers maintains second position with 9-1 record behind leader Pinelands. Tridents lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost.

Tridents' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks by Jonathan Fitt did not help to save the game for Celtics. Tridents moved-up to sixth place. Celtics lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost.

In the last game of round 16 Bulls smashed Spartans on the road 119-38.




Tridents - Cavaliers 64-95

The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Cavaliers (9-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Tridents (2-10). Cavaliers smashed Tridents 95-64. Cavaliers dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tridents' 38. They outrebounded Tridents 57-36 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cavaliers players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Gavin Phillips who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds and center Joel Hunte who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Antoine Winter responded with 15 points and Tristan Yarde scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. Spartans - Bulls 38-119

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Bulls (7-4) crushed on the road 5th ranked Spartans (3-8) 119-38 on Sunday. Bulls held Spartans to an opponent 21.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Bulls forced 46 Spartans turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Spartans' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bulls made 7 blocks. The winners were led by Kyrone Alexander who scored that evening 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Andrew Ifill (180) supported him with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 10 steals. Five Bulls players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by Jehron Harewood did not help to save the game for Spartans. Ja-Rad Grant added 6 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Defending champion maintains third position with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Pinelands. Loser Spartans keep the fifth place with eight games lost.
