Deroni Hurley claims Barbados BABA weekly honour

International Guard Deroni Hurley (175-G-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Pinelands and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 22-year old guard had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Spartans (#8, 0-5) with 55-point margin 108-53. It allowed Pinelands to jump to the first place in the Barbados BABA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Pinelands already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Hurley turned to be Pinelands' top player in his first season with the team. Hurley has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 13.7ppg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 63.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Grenadian forward Jehu Lafeuillee (203-F) of Lakers Sports Club. Lafeuillee impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Lakers lost that game 64-78 to league's leader Cavaliers (#2, 5-0). Lakers managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Lakers managed to get this year. Lafeuillee is one of the most experienced players at Lakers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). He also registered 12.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Simeon Maynard of Burger King Clapham Bulls (#4). Maynard scored 23 points and passed 7 assists. He was a key player of Bulls, leading his team to a 89-50 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Warrens (#5, 1-4). Bulls needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Maynard has a great season in Barbados. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.3ppg (3rd best) and assists with 6.0apg (3rd best).
