Maynard's 36-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old guard Rasheed Maynard (188-G-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Pinelands and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 36 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Pinelands in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Cavaliers (#2, 11-3) 73-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Pinelands to consolidate first place in the Barbados league. Pinelands has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Maynard had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He turned to be Pinelands' top player in his first season with the team. Maynard has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.8ppg), assists (3rd best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 1.2bpg,3.4spg and 61.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Keefe Birkette of Lakers Sports Club. He is a in his first season at Lakers. In the last game Birkette recorded an impressive double-double of 37 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Lakers lost that game 79-87 to slightly higher-ranked Tridents (5-9). This loss caused Lakers to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Birkette is one of the most experienced players at Lakers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 6.1rpg and 4.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Simeon Maynard of Burger King Clapham Bulls (#3). Maynard got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and seven assists. He was a key player of Bulls, leading his team to a 95-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Warrens (#7, 3-11). Bulls needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Maynard has a great season in Barbados.
