Cuenca Basket Club (Liga Basquet Pro) added to their roster 33-year old American swingman Nigel Jones (201cm-98kg-1990, college: Talladega). Jones joins another USA player Elias Cave who is already in the roster.
He moved there from Tridents in Barbados BABA where he started the season. In 13 games just recently he recorded 6.6ppg and 7.1rpg.
He is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Belize (Defenders), TBL (California SK and San Diego G.), Dominican Republic (Soles) and The Basketball Tournament (SH Alabama). His team won TBL West Division Regular Season in 2021 and 2022.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Belizean NEBL Center of the Year back in 2019.
Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
He graduated from Talladega College in 2016 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. Jones played for other colleges like: Southern Arkansas University, Alabama State University.
