Harewood's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Center Tyreke Harewood (C) put on an amazing game in the last round for Lakers Sports Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 51 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Pinelands (#5, 4-9) with 24-point margin 118-94. Lakers maintains the 4th position in Barbados league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Lakers will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. In the team's last game Harewood had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Lakers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Orange County Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harewood is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.2ppg) and averages solid 1.6bpg and 54.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Rasheed Maynard (188-G-2000) of league's second-best Burger King Clapham Bulls. He is a guard in his first season at Bulls. In the last game Maynard recorded an impressive 46 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Bulls to another comfortable win 95-82 over slightly lower-ranked Lakers (#4, 8-6) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Bulls consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 12 matches. Maynard is one of the most experienced players at Bulls and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 7.9rpg and 4.9apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Bulls' star - guard Simeon Maynard (173-PG-2004). Maynard got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds and twelve assists. He was another key player of Burger King Clapham Bulls, helping his team with a 148-37 easy win against the lower-ranked Heat (#7, 2-12). Bulls is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 12-2 record is not that bad... Maynard has a great season in Barbados. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.6ppg (3rd best) and assists with 5.9apg (2nd best). He also has 2.4spg and a FGP of 54.4%.
