Celtics forced 24 Lakers turnovers. The former international guard Kiserian Adams (193-2000, college: Baton Rouge) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Deroni Hurley (175-2001) supported him with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Celtics players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 5 assists by the former international guard Keefe Birkett (183-1988) did not help to save the game for Lakers. Forward Primus Walrond (201, college: Baton Rouge) added 21 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Guard Rasheed Maynard (188-2000) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Simeon Maynard (173-2004) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists during the contest. Swingman Deveron Knight (190-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Gavin Phillips scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cavaliers' coach Adrian Craigwell rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
