Barbados BABA round 1 best performance: Deveron Knight (by Hoops Agents)

International Guard Deveron Knight (195-G-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Station Hill Cavaliers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 44 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Lakers (#8, 0-3) with 26-point margin 104-78. It allowed Cavaliers to consolidate first place in the Barbados BABA. The season is still on an early stage, but Cavaliers already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Knight had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Cavaliers and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Deveron Knight has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 33.5ppg), rebounds (6th best: 12.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 64.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Akeem Marsh (208-C-1986) of league's second-best Burger King Clapham Bulls. Marsh had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Bulls to another comfortable win outscoring Tridents (0-1) 126-57. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Marsh is one of the most experienced players at Bulls and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international Carl Thorpe (201-F -2001) of Pinelands (#4). Thorpe showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Pinelands, leading his team to a 90-60 easy win against Warrens (#7, 0-2). Pinelands needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victories and 1 lost games. The season just started for Thorpe as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

10. Tyreke Harewood (C) of Lakers - 26 points and 7 rebounds
