Deveron Knight claims Barbados BABA weekly honour

International Guard Deveron Knight (195-G-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Station Hill Cavaliers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 25-year old guard had a double-double of 40 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Tridents (#8, 0-6) with 61-point margin 113-52. It allowed Cavaliers to consolidate first place in the Barbados BABA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Cavaliers already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Knight had a remarkable 72.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Cavaliers and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Knight has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.5ppg. Knight is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.3rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg,2.3spg,66.4% FGP and 41.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international Mark Bridgeman (198-F -1990) of Premium-Fit Bears. Bridgeman impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 35 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for Bears to edge slightly lower-ranked Warrens (#7, 1-5) by 5 points 92-87. Bears' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Bridgeman is one of the most experienced players at Bears and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#7). He also registered 13.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Cavaliers' star - Gavin Phillips (G). Phillips showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Station Hill Cavaliers, helping his team with a 113-52 easy win against Tridents (#8, 0-6). Cavaliers started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Phillips turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Phillips has a very solid season. In 6 games in Barbados he scored 15.8ppg. He also has 7.7rpg, 3.7apg, 2.8spg and a FGP of 57.6%.
