Knight's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Deveron Knight

25-year old guard Deveron Knight (195-G-2000) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Station Hill Cavaliers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Tridents (#7, 1-9) with 40-point margin 101-61. It allowed Cavaliers to consolidate first place in the Barbados league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Cavaliers keeps a perfect 9-0 record. In the team's last game Knight had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Cavaliers and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Knight has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.2ppg. Knight is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.9rpg) and averages solid 64.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Carl Thorpe (201-F -2001) of Pinelands. He is international in his first season at Pinelands. In the last game Thorpe recorded an impressive triple-double of 30 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course he led Pinelands to another comfortable win 92-74 over the lower-ranked Warrens (#8, 1-9) being unquestionably team leader. Pinelands' 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Thorpe is one of the most experienced players at Pinelands and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.8ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 13.2rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Mark Bridgeman (198-F -1990) of Premium-Fit Bears (#6). Bridgeman scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Bridgeman's great performance the Bears lost 88-108 to the higher-ranked Bulls (#3, 7-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Bridgeman has individually a great season in Barbados. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.2ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.9rpg (3rd best).
