Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The biggest surprise of round 5 in Liga Americas was Brazilian guest Mogi's (#2) road victory over desperated Uruguayan Bigua (0-2) 92-90 on Tuesday evening. Bigua was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Bigua trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 37-27 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 90-92 at the end of the game. Mogi looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Andre Bresolin (195-87) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Italian-Brazilian Luis-Felipe Gruber (206-85) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds. American Storm Warren (211-88, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Mogi maintains second place with 1-1 record behind leader Real Esteli, which they share with Capitanes. Bigua at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Aguada and Fuerza Regia. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Montevideo. Leader Nicaraguan Real Esteli faced 3rd placed Mexican Fuerza Regia. Host Real Esteli (2-0) smashed guests from Monterrey (0-2) 90-65. American-Puerto Rican Christopher Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Jeleel Akindele contributed with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Omar De-Haro (187-95) answered with 21 points for Fuerza Regia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Nicaraguan champion maintains first place with 2-0 record, which they share with San Lorenzo. Fuerza Regia at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Aguada and Bigua. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
