Regular Season Round 9: Circulo - Ferro CS 77-133

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Circulo (0-9) in Salto on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Ferro CS (8-1) 133-77. Ferro CS forced 42 Circulo turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Sebastian Caballero (190-2002) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Agustin De Los Santos (189-1999) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Five Ferro CS players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Jershon Tanoni (189-2004) who recorded 18 points and point guard Tabare Olivera (176-2001) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ferro CS maintains first place with 8-1 record which they share with defeated Circulo. Circulo at the other side still keeps top with nine games lost.
