Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Salto: Universitario (#5) and Juventus (#4). Universitario (2-7) won against visiting Juventus (3-6) 82-78. Juventus were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American power forward Andre McPhail (201-1993, college: CS Los Angeles) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Guard Eduardo Taure (186-1984) contributed with 25 points and 4 steals for the winners. Colombian forward Diego Altamiranda (201-2001) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Bruno Bellacci (180-1999) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Juventus.
