Taurinas forced 21 Mineras turnovers and outrebounded them 49-36 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Endrina Bolivar (-1990) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds and the former international swingman Thalia Garcia (177-1994) supported her with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Even 21 points by Vanessa Reyes (-2007) did not help to save the game for Mineras. Maiberlyng Torrealba (-1996) added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Taurinas and five Mineras players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
