No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Santiagueno (6-14) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (0-20) 103-55 on Saturday. American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds to lead the effort and Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-1987, college: App State) supported him with 30 points and 6 assists. Four Santiagueno players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by Jamaican-American forward Devin Thompson (199-1980, college: St.Peter's) did not help to save the game for Chalchuapa. American Joseph Sullivan added 23 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Chalchuapa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Santiagueno moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nejapa. Chalchuapa at the other side still closes the standings.
