Regular Season Round 6: Instituto - Penarol 73-76

Important game to mention about took place in Cordoba. Sixteenth ranked Penarol (2-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging top-ranked Instituto (6-2) 76-73 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Instituto. Guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Juan Frontera (178-2002) with 21 points and 5 assists and point guard Lautaro Urquiza (177-2001) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Instituto's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Penarol moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Boca Jrs. Instituto at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Instituto will play at home against Ferro and hopes to get back on the winning track.
