Regular Season Round 6: Obera - Regatas 60-61

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Obera (3-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by ninth ranked Regatas (3-1) 61-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Obera. It was a good game for point guard Tobias Franchela (185-2001) who saved his team from a defeat with 16 points. Dominican Rey Abad (210-2002) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Kelvin Ramirez replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and guard Francisco Tarnowyk (192-2001) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Obera. Obera's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Regatas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Obera. Regatas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obera will play on the road against Union (#11) in Santa Fe and is hoping to win this game.
