There was no surprise when 14th ranked Regatas (2-4) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Obera (3-1) 93-89 on Monday. American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Dominican forward Xavier Carreras (198-1994) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Rodney Green (197-1988, college: La Salle) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Four Regatas players scored in double figures. Obera moved-up to sixth place. Loser Regatas dropped to the sixteenth position with four games lost. Obera will meet bottom-ranked Comunicaciones (#20) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Regatas will have a break next round.
