Regular Season Round 7: Parque Sur - Pilar 88-70

Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Parque Sur (2-1) defeated 16th ranked Pilar (1-4) in Concepcion de Urug. 88-70 on Monday. Parque Sur made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Pilar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Taurus Adams II (201-1998, college: S.Connecticut) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-1988, college: UTRGV) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Parque Sur's coach Ivan Paolazzi used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Franco Smaniotti (194-2000) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and British forward Deji Adekunle (208-1992, college: Keiser, agency: Players Group) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Pilar in the defeat. Parque Sur moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Lanus and Tucuman. Newly promoted Pilar dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Independiente. Parque Sur will meet Libertad (#9) in the next round. Pilar will play against H.Americano (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
