Regular Season Round 7: Jachal - San Isidro 69-87
Date: October 31, 2022
Bottom-ranked Jachal is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked San Isidro (4-1) 87-69 on Monday evening. San Isidro looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when San Isidro made 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Federico Zezular (198-2001) who led the winners and scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks. Center Jeremias Diotto (204-2002) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four San Isidro players scored in double figures. Power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Lucas Cabanas added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Jachal in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Isidro have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Quilmes MP and GEPU. Loser Jachal still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Sarmiento R. and Pico FC. San Isidro will meet at home Colon SF (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jachal will play against Libertad (#9) in Sunchales and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
