Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Asuncion: San Jose (#1) and Olimpia K. (#3). Olimpia K. was defeated at home 79-84 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. San Jose made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game, while Olimpia K. only scored six points from the stripe. Olimpia K. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Ramon Sanchez (194-1991) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. Argentinian forward Sebastian Picton (197-1992) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners.
