Very expected game in Cordoba where 18th ranked Atenas (1-5) was defeated by third ranked Gimnasia (5-1) 82-77 on Tuesday. Gimnasia outrebounded Atenas 39-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cuban forward Joaquin Mensia (198-1997, agency: Pro Sports) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Gerard DeVaughn (205-1988, college: Stillman) chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest.
