There was no surprise in Sunchales where 12th ranked Salta Basket (2-4) was defeated by ninth ranked Libertad (4-2) 69-59 on Wednesday. Strangely Salta Basket outrebounded Libertad 39-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Julian Eydallin (195-2000) who scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Enzo Rupcic (201-1997) chipped in 18 points. Four Libertad players scored in double figures. Point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Brazilian center Adriano Alves (210-1995) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Libertad moved-up to third place, which they share with Ciclista and Colon SF. Loser Salta Basket keeps the twelfth position with four games lost. Libertad will meet Jachal (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Salta Basket will have a break next round.
