Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Argentino (4-4) edged 13th ranked La Union (3-6) in Junin 83-81 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Enzo Filipetti (201-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Jeremias Sandrini (185-1993) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Uruguayan guard Diego Garcia (186-1992) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Ivan Basualdo (203-1990) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for La Union in the defeat. La Union's coach Sebastian Ginobili let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Argentino moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ferro. Loser La Union dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Argentino will meet Union SF (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Union will play against Olimpico (#3) in La Banda and hope to secure a win.
