There was an upset when higher ranked Ferro (4-4) lost to seventeenth ranked Riachuelo LR (2-4) in La Rioja 79-85 on Sunday. Riachuelo LR outrebounded Ferro 49-27 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Latraius Mosley (198-1990, college: Life) who led the winners and scored 24 points. Point guard Carlos Buendia (177-1995) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Tomas Spano (183-1998) came up with 18 points and swingman Lucas Gargallo (196-1995) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Ferro in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Riachuelo LR moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Regatas and Independ.O. Loser Ferro keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Argentino. Riachuelo LR will meet at home Regatas (#16) in the next round. Ferro will play against the league's second-placed Gimnasia (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
