Very expected game when 10th ranked Santa Ana (4-16) was smashed on the road by fifth ranked Metapan (15-5) 129-91 on Wednesday. Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 46. They outrebounded Santa Ana 55-31 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Metapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Derek Reese (203-1993, college: Tennessee) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and Puerto Rican Xavier Zambrana (193-1991) supported him with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds by American swingman Shian Bradshaw (194-1995, college: Wake Tech CC) did not help to save the game for Santa Ana. Erick Rojas (183-1996) added 26 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Five Metapan and four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. Metapan have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with San Salvador. Santa Ana lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 16 games lost.
