Regular Season Round 10: Del Progreso - Racing 76-95

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Racing (5-1) rolled over 11th ranked Del Progreso (2-2) in General Roca 95-76 on Thursday. Racing made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Racing outrebounded Del Progreso 34-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) notched 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Taiel Gomez (185-1999) supported him with 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Even 14 points and 6 assists by guard Julian Ruiz (185-1998) did not help to save the game for Del Progreso. Marco Roumec (189-2003) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four Racing and five Del Progreso players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Racing have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Barrio Parque. Loser Del Progreso dropped to the thirteenth position with two games lost.
