Regular Season Round 10: Pilar - Zarate Basket 74-68

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Zarate Basket (6-2) against eleventh ranked Pilar (4-5) on Thursday night. Visiting Zarate Basket was defeated by Pilar in a tough game on the road 68-74. Pilar made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Greek-American forward Tommy Demogerontas (203-1997, college: IUP) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Pablo Bruna (185-1987) chipped in 22 points during the contest. At the losing side center Sebastian Chaine (201-1986) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Agustin Brocal (191-1997) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pilar have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Zarate Basket at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Pilar will play against higher ranked Quilmes MP (#4) in Mar del Plata in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zarate Basket will play at home against Quilmes MP and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
