Four Leonas players scored in double figures. Venezuelan guard Crismar Rojas came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Mariangel Concha (173-2004) added 10 points and 17 rebounds respectively for LA U in the defeat. LA U's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leonas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted Leonas maintains first place with 7-2 record. Loser LA U keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Cobras. Leonas will meet at home Amazonas (#4) in the next round. LA U will play against the league's second-placed Cobras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
