There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Cojute (10-10) lost to ninth ranked Brujos (5-8) in Cojutepeque 84-94 on Sunday. Brujos dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Cojute's 44. They outrebounded Cojute 47-27 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Arinze Obiora (196-1997, college: UMass Dartmouth) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Joshua Quincy supported him with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Obiora is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists by American swingman Andravious Smith (196-1995, college: Tougaloo) did not help to save the game for Cojute. Lee Vasquez (176-1991) added 26 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the hosts. Brujos maintains ninth position with 5-8 record. Cojute lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost.
