Fortaleza's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Rio Claro, where they defeated Rio Claro (2-5) 72-57. American swingman Dexter McClanahan (193-1997, college: Nicholls St.) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Tiago Dias (203-2001) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Wesley Alves (198-1996) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and American Desmond Holloway (194-1990, college: Coastal, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fortaleza maintains fifteenth position with 1-6 record, which they share with Cerrado and Pato Basquete.
