Regular Season Round 9: Regatas - Comunicaciones 50-58

We should mention about the upset which took place in Corrientes, where higher ranked Regatas (3-2) lost at home to sixteenth ranked Comunicaciones (3-5) 50-58 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Regatas. Comunicaciones well out of reach of Regatas shooting 72.4 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Comunicaciones especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was Ezequiel Bidondo who scored 14 points. Point guard Agustin Passone (180-2003) chipped in 9 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tobias Franchela (185-2001) who recorded 16 points and Dominican Rey Abad (210-2002) added 13 points respectively. Regatas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Comunicaciones moved-up to twelfth place. Regatas at the other side keeps the ninth position with two games lost. They share it with Olimpico and Independ.O.. Comunicaciones are looking forward to face bottom-ranked San Martin (#20) in Corrientes in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Regatas will play on the road against Riachuelo LR (#16) in La Rioja and is hoping to win this game.
