Regular Season Round 12: Ameghino - Salta Basket 93-74

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ameghino as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ameghino smashed 12th ranked Salta Basket in Villa Maria 93-74. Ameghino looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Salta Basket's players. The best player for the winners was Matias Martinez who scored 29 points. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-1988) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Ameghino players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Brazilian center Adriano Alves (210-1995) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and Diego Peralta (195-1994) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ameghino have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Salta Basket at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Rocamora and CAO Ceres. Salta Basket will play next round against Dep Norte trying to get back on the winning streak. Ameghino will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
