There was no surprise when 12th ranked Dep Viedma (3-6) was crushed on the road by third ranked Zarate Basket (7-3) 93-63 on Thursday. Zarate Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Dep Viedma's 28. Zarate Basket had a 38-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Ignacio Cuassolo (200-1999) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Agustin Brocal (191-1997) who added 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Zarate Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian center Eric Okenchi (201-1997, college: UVA Wise) with 12 points and point guard Mariano Marina (-1999) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zarate Basket moved-up to second place. Loser Dep Viedma dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
