Regular Season Round 6: Urunday - Trouville 68-89
Date: November 17, 2022
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Trouville (#6) and Urunday (#8). Urunday was smashed at home by 21 points 68-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Trouville dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday's 34. American forward Josh Price (205-1996, college: S.Indiana) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trouville (4-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Malvin. Urunday at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Defensor. Trouville will play against Urupan (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Urunday's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Aguada.
